True first state copy with 22 page publisher's catalog at the back dated November, 1863, and "The Wayside Inn and Other Poems" is listed as "Nearly Ready" on page 11 of the catalog. ( listed with a price in subsequent printings.) The book is a collection of poems (including the classic "Paul Rever's Ride") that depicts a group of people at the Wayside Inn in Sudbury as each tells a story in the form of a poem. Square binding.
