How is the site arranged?
I have this shop divided into fiction (with collections that include literature, poetry, plays, short stories, children's literature, graphic novels, mystery and science fiction) and non-fiction (with collections that include art, biography, travel, sports, philosophy, sociology, science, magazines, books about books, essays and letters, business, history, natural history, literary criticism, religion, food and beverage, and odds and ends). These collections can be viewed by using the filters, which also sort by author, publisher and if the books are signed or inscribed by the author. The search function yield author, title, tags and words from the book's description. There is predictive typing, typo tolerance and semantic understanding, using AND, OR and NOT operators. How are books described?
I aim to describe books accurately. All books pictured are in inventory and is the copy that will ship with your order. Please read descriptions thoroughly as I have tried to notate all flaws and anticipate all questions. What is the return policy?
You can return books within 30 days with written authorization. If the book is as described and you wish to return it, you will be responsible for the return postage.
Books that don’t arrive in the condition described are eligible for a full refund. I will send a return label at my expense.
I have sold thousands of books and I can count on one hand the number of customers who have issues with the descriptions that I have provided.
How are books packaged?
I take special care to package books to survive the travel to get to you. Delicate dust jackets are wrapped in protective, usually Brodart Just-A-Fold covers (https://tinyurl.com/3mx9tkx8). All books are securely wrapped in bubble wrap, and most are shipped in poly bags. Larger items and multiple titles are then shipped in a box. I charge only for shipping, not packaging or my time.
I have unsolicited praise from customers for the care that I take in packaging books. My bookstore may be named after a river, but I do care about the condition of the book when shipping to you.
I include a bookmark with all orders, a simple reminder of my contact information and website.
