Bower was the pseudonym of Bertha Muzzy Sinclair-Cowan, who was born in Minnesota in 1871, moved to Montana with her family later, married three times, always to cowboys, and ranched in Montana, Nevada, and the Pacific Northwest. She died in 1940. Her books are known for their authentic cowboy detail, strong female characters, true-to-life plots, lack of violence, and subtle humor. This was one of her 57 novels. Since several of her novels were adapted for Hollywood films, she became friends with Gary Cooper, Tom Mix, and others from the film industry. Clean pages. Archival clear cover.
