Stated first edition. Unclipped dust jacket with $35 price intact, now wrapped in protective Brodart. Reproduces 258 of some of the earliest photographs ever taken, by Scottish photographers David Octavius Hill and Robert Adamson, just 10 years after the invention of the camera, in 1848. These photographs had been considered lost for a century before they were rediscovered in 1967. With an introduction by Colin Ford.
